Tuna Şare Ağtürk

Tuna Şare Ağtürk is Associate Professor of Classical Archaeology and Art History at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University in Turkey. She earned her PhD at Rutgers University and was a visiting postdoc at New York University. She has extensively published on ancient dress, identity, and hybridity reflected in the material culture of ancient Anatolia. As the director of Çukurbağ Archaeological Project (TÜBİTAK 115K242), with her team, she has brought to light a Diocletianic cult complex decorated with painted state reliefs in ancient Nikomedia (modern İzmit). Dr. Şare Ağtürk has received several awards and fellowships, including grants from the Getty Foundation and the Radcliffe Institute of Advanced Studies at Harvard University.
