Helena Dominguez

Helena Dominguez-del Triunfo is part-time adjunct Professor at Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid (Spain), where she teaches History of Travels and Tourism and Ancient History, and PhD candidate in the program of Studies of the Ancient World in the Complutense and Autonomous Universities of Madrid. She holds a BA in History (with an itinerary in Ancient History), from Complutense University, and an MA and MSc from Complutense, Autonomous, and Alcalá de Henares Universities (Madrid, Spain). Her PhD studies about the northern Aegean during the period of the Achaemenid Empire have been supported by scholarships of the Onassis Foundation and the University of Athens that allowed her to conduct research in Greece (2013-2015), and a scholarship of the Spanish La Caixa Foundation that allowed her to continue her research as visiting scholar in the University of Pennsylvania (2015-2018). She has participated in excavations in Spain, Greece and Turkmenistan.
